AI Use of Clinical Context
Conversation with Scope AI: ME - Can you not see the clinical history, meds, etc in Kevin's patient profile? Unfortunately, no — Kevin only has one visit in Scope, which is today's, and the note hasn't been filled in yet. There's no prior visit history, medication list, or clinical profile stored in the system to pull from. If you can paste or summarize his relevant history here (medications, diagnoses, any GI history), I'll factor it into the explanation and plan. Alternatively, if his chart lives in your EHR, that context would need to be brought in manually. ME - All the info is in his Scope patient profile in the "Clinical Context" section. Are you not able to read that? I don't have a tool that accesses the patient profile or a "Clinical Context" section directly — my access is limited to visit notes within Scope. I can read and search across past visit notes, but a standalone profile or demographics/clinical context field isn't something I can pull from. If you can copy the relevant info from that section into the chat, I'll incorporate it fully. That's the quickest workaround for now — and worth flagging to the Scope team if patient profile context should be accessible to me: support@scopehealth.com . ME - So what's the point in having that on the Scope platform if its not accessible to the AI? That's a completely fair point — if clinical context is entered into the patient profile, it should be available to me when I'm working within that patient's visit. Right now there's a gap there, and I'd encourage you to raise it directly with the Scope team at support@scopehealth.com . That kind of feedback is exactly what drives feature prioritization.
